In Over My Head

So one month out of graduation and i've been job hunting my butt off. It finally seems to have paid off. I have a job interview! At an actual university for an actual professor position!

Alright, before anyone gets too excited for me. It's at a really tiny state university; about 8,000 students. Its for an adjunct History professor teaching the Intro to American/European/world history courses that like every freshman has to take. The school is actually hiring 2 professors, which makes it better for me. To be completely honest, i can't believe they are even interviewing me. I only have my masters degree as opposed to my PhD. I have zero teaching experience, but i do have a syllabus prepped for Intro to European History (thank god for one of my Proffies and his seminar course).

But they want me to come interview anyways and i am not in a position to say no. This will be my first time interviewing for a real teaching position, so I'm a little nervous to begin with. Plus, this interview requires me to lecture to one of the summer session classes. I have never lectured a class before, I'm totally terrified I'm going to screw it up. Luckily, G-Fab's fiancee is giving my pointers.

I won't lie I'm a little concerned that my age is going to work against me. I'm 26 years-old but I easily look 21. So i worried that looking not that much older than the average student is going to make it hard for the faculty and the students to take me seriously as a professor. I mean, everyone started somewhere- so hopefully if i come off knowledgeable and in-charge of a classroom, they won't hold my age against me.

Everyone cross your fingers for me. I would love to have this job!

**Not an actual picture of me. Plus i would never wear anything that skimpy-period, let alone to teach students in.
