March 5th- turn in Thesis draft to committee members for revisions
March 8-12 spring break
March 16th- Get revisions back from Thesis Advisor
March 18th- receive revisions back from committee member 1
March 19th-Begin revisions
April 5th- Final Thesis due into department
April 12th- Defend Thesis
April 16th- Last day to turn in approved thesis to the Graduate school to graduate in May
I'm pretty
See my department has this requirement that your thesis sit in the department for a week before you can defend it, because our defenses are open to the whole department. And my thesis has to be approved, defended and revised by April 16th for me to turn it into the graduate school.
It would take a normal person 2 weeks to do what my committee member is asking me to do in 3 days. In fairness to him, He didn't know the thesis had to be due by April 5th, so it's not entirely his fault. But he sat on my thesis for 4 weeks, which is entirely too long, considering my advisor and other member got it back to me in half that time. Plus the library is closed till tomorrow. FML

It never ceases to amaze me that 1 committee member always holds up the paperwork to the last minute as if they've never dealt with someone defending before....
And for the record, I HATE people who had smooth sailing through their defenses. :)
Good luck on that thesis. I could not even imagine myself write, rather finish a college thesis. My mind would go crazy.
